DIY: Autumnal window animal garland made from coffee filters

Hooray, fall is here! The leaves dance cheerfully and colorfully from the trees. To make your window panes just as colorful, we have a beautiful craft idea for you.

Melanie @melafreu lives in beautiful Austria with her husband and two wonderful girls. She simply loves craft ideas that are easy to do with the children at home.

You need:

Coffee filters
Watercolors and brushes
Scissors
Cooking oil
Handkerchief
String
Clothespins

To the scissors, get set, go!

To begin with, we took a close look at our favorite animal friends on the Affenzahn website. We now cut out animal heads and leaves from the coffee filters.

Now color comes into play!

You can now paint the coffee filters with the watercolors.
After painting, you must leave the coffee filters to dry.

Now it's time for a little magic. If you now coat your animals and leaves with cooking oil, the coffee filters will become transparent and the colors will shine even brighter than before! Then take a clean handkerchief and dab off the excess oil. Then leave to dry well.

That's it

Now attach the works of art to a string with a clothespin and hang the garland on your window!
